Meeting called to order at   9:10 p.m.

 

 

Treasurer's Report:

Winter Concert profit:              $716.00 Up from $705.00 in 2017.

CMB 80th Reunion profit:        $183.60

PO Box renewal:                     Paid $200.00

Current CMBAA balance:        $12,125.49

Current CCB balance:              $3434.86

Current Total balance:              $15,560.35

 

 

President's Report: 

The new CMBAA database is now up and working. Work on a new CMBAA website is proceeding with a tentative launch target in late spring.

 

Vice President's Report: 

In the process of getting in touch with Floyd Hall regarding event opportunities.

 

Historian's Report: 

CHS yearbook photos have been scanned through mid-1980s. Yearbooks from the years 1957, 1965, and 1967 are currently unavailable. Alumni who have yearbooks from those years are urged to contact the Historian. Band rosters are also needed. The Historian was contacted by Walter Pruiksma, a member of the original CMB, and a desire for an interview was expressed. The Historian is in the process of putting together an official CMBAA Archive.

 

NEW BUSINESS

A pizza night fundraiser at Blaze Pizza in the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne is scheduled for Thursday, February 21, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

A tour and tasting fundraiser at Silk City Distillers in Clifton is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. A $300 deposit is needed, and there is a maximum limit of 50 attendees. The cost is $15 per person and food will not be provided.

 

The 2019 Bowling fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, 6:00 p.m. at Garden Palace Lanes in Clifton. The cost is $25 per person.

 

Suggestion to hold an alumni senior band camp for alumni 50 years old and older.

 

Suggestion to provide musical instruction as a feeder for the Clifton Community Band.

 

Liaison Comments: 

More than 400 tickets for the beefsteak fundraiser were sold. Thanks extended to all participants.

 

A joint performance by the Clifton High School Wind Ensemble and Montclair State University Wind Symphony is scheduled for Tuesday, February 19.
